Verder is elke nieuwe generatie lui en idealistisch volgens 40+, omdat die gewoon vergeten zijn hoe weinig zin ze er zelf in hadden om het systeem te reproduceren.

Het concept "generatie" wordt nogal uitvergroot door mensen die wat te verkopen hebben (jij kreeg "the choice of a new generation" te drinken geloof ik), maar door context gevormd worden is natuurlijk wel echt.

Dat besef kwam overigens alweer een flink aantal jaren geleden, toen ik klassieke slides over PTSD en 9/11 tevoorschijn haalde en niet alle studenten meer wisten wat dat dan precies voor dag was. Moest ik een nieuw collectief trauma vinden.

Ik dronk een kopje thee en keek Diagnosis Murder met moeders, omdat ik eindelijk een chemievak zonder dagelijks practicum had.
